Not joining the dead dolphin

We almost died the other day. That story a bit later. So many great things happened before that.

In Tulum we were hosted by Juan in his tiny room that became our home for a week. Juan was great and didn’t mind having us there. We were even accompanied by Bea, our hitchhiker-friend who likes sleeping in a hammock, and this made the room look like a colorful spider-web. We spent a nice week lazing on the beach, hitching to an exotic turquoise lake, reading and swapping books at the hotel lobbies – somehow ending up with a whole library of them. We also prepared food with ingredients that we mainly got from one fruit store where the people got used to the three gringos going through their basura (waste). Just to mention, the word “gringo” originally refers solely to people from the USA. It was fun to meet people: me llamo Bea. Me llamo Lea. Tomi wanted to change his name into Yeah.
